AVEN’S PLACE was created out of the inspiration of a little boy named Aven. He wanted to help other children that had encountered the same trials he and his family had encountered during his battle with cancer.

Aven had brain tumors but he also had a wish to help others. Aven's heart was so big that he wanted to help everyone he could, but for him, enough could not be done. The most important thing Aven had was a heart for GOD. His heart was filled with joy, love, and compassion, and throughout all his trials, he would always put others first. 

For myself, this had also been a dream - to reach out and help other kids that have had their lives turned upside down. One afternoon while visiting Aven, his mother and father mentioned to me how Aven wanted to help others.

Aven was listening to God by putting others first. This inspired myself to continue Aven's dream. If a little boy with brain tumors could help others, then why can't those of us without a life threatening illness help those that are in need? We take our health and life for granted and at any time one's life path can be changed in an instant. When someone has a life threatening medical condition, things change for everyone!

During this time, your focus should be on the one that desires and requires your full attention. We wish to help you so you do not have to worry about making ends meet or how you are going to get through the day. We want to help alleviate some of the stress and worries of everyday life. Your child needs you during these times as much as you need them.
